Chiropractors practice natural, drugless, non-invasive health care, and rely on the body's ability to self-heal. Unlike medical doctors who treat symptoms as they appear, chiropractors evaluate the patient in order to find the cause of the problem. The cause is usually known as a subluxation, which is a structural imbalance in the vertebral or spinal column. A subluxation may appear well before symptoms do, and can be identified through a thorough chiropractic evaluation. At the conclusion of this evaluation, the chiropractor will know the cause of a patient's ailment, and can then proceed to correct the cause with a regimen of chiropractic care.
Chiropractic is essential when it comes to the recovery of patient's who have suffered injury. It is therefore imperative that the patient receive chiropractic care as quickly as possible following any type of trauma or injury.
